20 February 2014 on the TV channel RBC managing partner of INCONA company and member of the export committee of «Business Russia» Alexey Busev participated in live programme “Today. The main things” . The TV programme was devoted to the issues of russian non-raw export development, as well as implementation of state policy. Meeting of Russian Federation government of domestic export support became main reason for the TV programme.
A. Busev noted that, despite some experts’skepticism, there are russian companies which can compete at the international level not only in raw sector. Unlike many of their foreign counterparts, they don’t have sufficient experience and knowledge for successful promotion of their goods and services at the international level. In this issue, according to A. Busev, state should support domestic companies.
Nowadays Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development, the regional centers of export-oriented activities support, the Russian export credits and investments insurance agency, and also some other the organizations are engaged in development of Russian companies’ export. According to A. Busev, development of export potential of the non-raw-material sectors of the Russian economy requires a single regulating body.
As an example A. Busev cited experience of business support in the United Arab Emirates, the USA, Canada, Europe and other countries. In these countries, the authorities have carried out full-scale support for exports of national production. Entrepreneurs in these countries in addition to financial support, receive professional assistance while joining markets of foreign countries, which includes marketing research, lobbying at the state level, legal advice etc..
In conclusion A. Busev noted that local companies, which have a good, competitive products, not always can correctly promote it on foreign markets. Russian mechanisms are not always effective abroad. Support of professional experts may solve the problem.
