The interest of Russian IT companies in opening structures in the UAE has doubled over the past year

According to the audit company KPMG, the demand from Russian IT companies for services related to the opening of representative offices in the UAE has doubled compared to 2022.

There are several reasons why companies are interested in the UAE. Among them are the favorable tax regime, the status of a friendly country, the possibility of obtaining a tax residence permit for companies and employees, as well as the opportunity to open a business in a short time.

If in 2022 the demand for opening a company in the UAE was more focused on securing employees and avoiding sanctions by moving or opening representative offices, today it is motivated by the search for new customers and partners. At the same time, there is a parallel demand for the legalization in the Russian Federation of intellectual property objects created in relocation to receive state benefits.
