In 2023, the trade turnover between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation increased by 63%

The volume of trade turnover between Russia and the United Arab Emirates Emirates has grown by 63% in the first nine months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, Russian Vice President Yuri Ushakov told reporters at a briefing.

«The UAE is Russia’s main foreign economic partner in the Arab world. In 2022, the mutual trade turnover updated its historical maximum and reached a record level of $9 billion. In January – September of this year, it has already reached the $8.8 billion mark and increased by 63% compared to last year’s figures for the same period,» Ushakov said.

According to the Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, industrial cooperation is an important element of Russian-Emirati relations. «Promising projects are being worked out in almost all sectors: from automotive, civil aircraft, metallurgy to renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and digital technologies,» Yuri Ushakov noted.
