A seminar on doing business in the Emirates organized by INCONA was held at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On April 20, 2017, a seminar «Organization of export and production of Russian companies in the UAE was held in the Large Conference Hall of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Advantages of the free economic zones of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah».

During his speech, the CEO of INCONA, Alexey Busev, pointed out a significant increase in economic activity between Russia and the Emirates. So, according to him, if in 2008 the trade turnover was only $ 847 million dollars, then in 2017 it increased to two billion dollars. In this regard, Alexey Busev spoke about the efforts of the Commission headed by him to develop business contacts between the Russian Federation and the UAE. Thus, the Commission has already helped 46 Russian companies from various sectors of the economy enter the dynamically developing Emirati market.

In addition, in his speech, Alexey Busev (who also holds the position of Chairman of the MCCI Commission for Cooperation with the UAE) touched upon a wide range of topics related to doing business in the Emirates: the possibilities of exporting Russian products to the UAE and the Gulf countries; the advantages of exporting and manufacturing in the free economic zones of the UAE; measures of state support for Russian exports; tax benefits and customs preferences of the UAE; successful projects of Russian business in the UAE, etc.

The Vice-president of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Suren Vardanyan, who acted as a moderator, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. Among other things, he noted the significant contribution and efforts of the Arab Emirates to the development of business relations between Russia and the Arab world.

Asib Abdul Kader, Vice President of the Investment Administration of the Government of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, spoke about the economic and investment potential of the emirate. Currently, the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is able to offer Russian companies more favorable conditions for registering and doing business in the UAE compared to other emirates.

Consultant of the Free Economic Zone of the Emirate (FEZ) Ras Al Khaimah Olga Gavrilova acquainted the seminar participants with the advantages of registering and doing business in the FEZ. She spoke in detail about tax benefits and customs preferences for Russian companies in the FEZ of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
