Alexey Busev at the plenum of the members of the Russian-Emirates Business Council

On February 2, 2023, a meeting of the Members of the Russian-Emirates Business Council was held on the topic «Summing up the results of work in 2022 and approving plans for 2023».

Speakers at the meeting were:
— S.N. Gorkov, Chairman of the REBC;
— V.I. Padalko, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
— A.S. Busev, Executive Director of REBC;
— V.O. Grabovskaya, Regional Manager of the International Business Development Department of KEZAD;
— S.S. Nosov, Director of the Department of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The results of the REBC activities for 2022 and plans for 2023 were announced, including the launch of the Eurasian Trade and Industrial Hub based on the Khalifa Abu Dhabi Industrial Zone (KEZAD), as well as the creation of an IT and innovation hub to promote Russian innovative, technological and IT companies in the Middle East.

In addition, the terms of membership and the list of services offered to the member companies of the Association of REBC, established at the end of last year in response to the increased interest and requests of Russian entrepreneurs to do business in the UAE, were announced.

 

Among the most promising areas for business in the Middle East, S.N. Gorkov noted «information technologies – blockchain and fintech, healthy nutrition and medicine, construction and investment.» It is in these sectors that the predominant number of projects of the Russian-Emirates Business Council is planned for the current year.
