INCONA and the Russian Export Center organized a business forum in the UAE for Russian companies

INCONA together with the Russian Export Center (REC) held a business forum for Russian companies in the UAE. From the Emirati side, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided support in organizing the forum.

Within the framework of the business forum held on November 26-27, 2017 in Abu Dhabi, sessions of b2b meetings of Russian companies with business representatives of the Emirates were organized. An exposition of Russian companies with a demonstration of goods and a presentation of services was also organized.

The Forum was held on the sidelines of the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation (IPC). Some of the Russian companies participating in the IPC took part in the business forum.

During the opening ceremony of the forum, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (concurrently Chairman of the Russian-Emirati IPC from the Russian side) addressed the participants with a welcoming speech Dmitry Manturov, Minister of Economy of the UAE Sultan Bin Salem Al Mansouri, Director General of the REC Peter Fradkov, as well as Acting Secretary of the Department of Economic Development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Khalifa Bin Salem Al Mansouri.

The business forum was attended by representatives of 29 Russian companies of various industry specialization. More than 90 Emirati private and state-owned companies, as well as government agencies of the UAE, took part in meetings with Russian companies. The total number of registered forum participants exceeded 260 people. On average, each Russian company held four meetings with business representatives of the Emirates.

Following the event, a number of Russian companies reached practical agreements with the Emirati side to promote their products and services in the UAE and the Gulf countries. At the end of the event, the organizer of the business forum, INCONA, in continuation of the agreements reached at the b2b meetings, organized a number of additional meetings for Russian companies in the offices of their potential Emirati clients.
