INCONA co-organized a conference on Dubai’s opportunities for Moscow business
On May 22, 2018, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the conference «Exports to the UAE and the Gulf countries. Dubai: opportunities for Moscow companies». The conference was organized by INCONA together with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow Export Center. The event was attended by representatives of more than 50 companies interested in doing business in the UAE. Some of these companies are planning to undergo the company registration procedure in Dubai in the near future.
Alexey Busev, CEO of INCONA, acted as one of the leading speakers of the conference. In his speech, Alexey Busev (who also holds the position of Chairman of the Commission of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Cooperation with the UAE) gave a detailed overview of the Emirates market, including from the point of view of attractiveness for Russian business. Further, the CEO of INCONA presented to the conference participants an algorithm for entering the UAE market, confirmed by years of practice.
The Emirati side was represented at the conference by Mr. Omar Khan, who oversees the international activities of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In his speech, Mr. Omar Khan focused on the attractiveness of doing business in the UAE and registering a company in Dubai. According to him, the UAE is the world’s largest re-export center, and in connection with the Expo 2020 in Dubai, it is planned to increase the flow of tourists to 20 million. Mr. Omar Khan also said that in 2018, entry visas to the UAE were canceled for Russians, and by the end of this year it is planned to allow the registration of companies outside free economic zones with 100 percent participation of foreign founders.
The following speakers also took part in the event: Suren Vardanyan, Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (moderator); Vadim Tymchik, Head of the Export Support Department of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow; Vladimir Shutemov, Director for International Business Development of InfoWatch Group, etc.
The conference ended with an expert session «Practical instructions for exporting to the UAE». The session was held in the form of a dialogue between foreign trade experts and export-oriented enterprises in Moscow.
