INCONA summed up the results of the open webinar «Russian-Saudi food trade: export and import»

How to become a part of the largest food market in the Middle East – this and more was discussed by leading experts from Russia and Saudi Arabia during an open webinar that took place on December 9, 2020. The event was organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Moscow and Ash-Sharqiya with the support of the Russian Food House in the UAE.

The key topic of the webinar was the discussion of new opportunities for Russian food producers to enter the market of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries. During the meeting, representatives of the Saudi General Directorate for Food and Medicines (SFDA) paid special attention to the legislative requirements that the Kingdom imposes on the supply of food from other countries.

Alexey Busev, representative of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Arab countries of the Gulf and CEO of Incona, told about the role played by the Russian Food House in promoting Russian companies in the MENA region. He noted that the Pavilion is a contact point for Russian companies planning to enter the Saudi Arabian food market.
