INCONA took part in the conference «Foreign Economic activity as a factor of effective development of the subjects of the Russian Federation»

On December 2, Kaluga hosted the conference «Foreign Economic Activity as a factor of effective development of the subjects of the Russian Federation». Alexey Busev, General Director of INCONA, took part in the event. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Kaluga Region, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects, the State Corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank), JSC Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Kaluga Region, the Russian Small and Medium-sized Business Support Agency, Association of Small and Medium-sized Business Support Agencies «Razvitie», the Center for Coordinating the Support of Export-oriented Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Kaluga Region.

The conference was attended by small and medium-sized enterprises of Russia, federal and regional executive authorities, local self-government bodies, leading development institutions and specialized organizations of regional infrastructure (Centers for Coordinating support for export-oriented Small and Medium-sized Businesses, EICC, Cluster Development Centers, etc. A wide range of issues related to the development of the subjects of the Russian Federation was raised.

The main purpose of the conference was to support the foreign economic (export) activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia, as well as assistance in improving the competitiveness of Russian innovative products and technologies in various market segments. As a result of the conference, recommendations were developed to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses, develop effective support tools and create a favorable environment for the successful operation of small and medium-sized enterprises in interregional and international markets in the WTO.

Alexey Busev, General Director of the company, made a presentation. During his report, he spoke about the economic potential of the Arab countries of the Gulf and about the opportunities that open up for Russian representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the UAE. A.Busev elaborated on those sectors and sectors of the domestic economy whose products are highly competitive.

Busev paid special attention to the problems that arise for domestic small and medium-sized businesses entering the markets of the Gulf countries. The main problem is the lack of awareness of Russian companies about the specifics of doing business in the Gulf region.
