INCONA took part in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Russian Federation-UAE (Russian part) on trade, economic and technical cooperation

On December 26, 2012, a meeting of the Russian part of the intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on trade, Economic and technical cooperation was held in Moscow. The main purpose of the meeting is to create strong, mutually beneficial ties and conditions for cooperation in trade, economic, energy, and industrial fields.

The meeting was chaired by Denis Valentinovich Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by representatives of government departments, heads of Russian enterprises, and experts.

Alexey Busev, General Director of INCONA, made a report on the prospects for the development of relations between Russia and the UAE. He proposed a number of measures aimed at strengthening Russian-Emirati cooperation, developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the business circles of 2 countries in the trade, economic, financial, and investment spheres.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, who spoke at the meeting, told the audience about the state and improvement of the contractual and legal framework of Russian-Emirati cooperation. A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia made a report on cooperation in the field of finance, banks and investments.» Larisa Moskovkina, representative of the Bank of Russia, presented her vision of the development of financial cooperation between the two countries.

The third meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation will be held in Abu Dhabi in mid-February 2013.

The development of relations between the Russian Federation and the UAE began with the signing of an agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on trade, economic and technical cooperation. Today, cooperation between the Russian Federation and the UAE is developing in all directions: trade turnover is growing, constant contacts are maintained at the political level.
