Russia and the United Arab Emirates continue to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical education and advanced training of medical personnel. This is evidenced by a recent conversation between the Deputy Ministers of Health of Russia and the UAE, Evgeny Kamkin and Amin Ameri.

According to Evgeny Kamkin, Russia pays special attention to the development of international cooperation, actively cooperating with a wide range of partner states, including the United Arab Emirates. Among the areas for joint activities of the two countries, Evgeny Kamkin singled out «scientific developments in the field of medicine, digital healthcare, development, production and supply of vaccines, the fight against non-communicable diseases and the provision of medicines to the population.»

During the dialogue, the Ministry of Health of Russia invited the Emirati side to consider organizing 2-4 week internships of medical specialists from the UAE in Russian educational organizations. The parties also discussed the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries in the application of innovative radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.

When discussing the prospects of cooperation, Amin Ameli noted that the UAE is interested in the supply of Russian-made medicines.
