Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented the Order of Friendship to the UAE Ambassador in the Russian Federation

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented the Order of Friendship to the UAE Ambassador, Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Al-Jaber.

The UAE Ambassador was awarded this Order by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation for his great contribution to strengthening Russian-Emirati relations.

«Lavrov highly appreciated Al-Jaber’s work as head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Russia, wished him further success in implementing tasks to promote traditionally friendly relations of strategic partnership between the two countries,» the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In a comment to Interfax, Ambassador Al-Jaber stressed that it was a great honor for him to receive the Order of Friendship from Lavrov.

«I am sincerely grateful to the leadership of the UAE for the trust placed in me to represent the country in the Russian Federation. I express my special gratitude to Putin for the high assessment of my diplomatic activity,» the high-ranking diplomat said.

«The Order of Friendship awarded to me is the result of our close–knit work with Russian friends and colleagues. We will continue to make every possible effort to further strengthen Russian-Emirati relations in all areas,» Ambassador Al-Jaber noted.
