The foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the United Arab Emirates tripled in 2022

The foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the United Arab Emirates in 2022 tripled compared to 2021. «Over the year, the export of Bashkir goods to the UAE increased 3.4 times — it accounts for 94.1% of the total turnover between the parties. Imports have doubled in a year,» they said at an online meeting in the format of an Hour with a trade representative.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of Bashkiria noted that «the growth of mutual trade turnover indicates that there is a solid base in the republic for establishing and developing long-term and mutually beneficial trade cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.»

«The Emirates has created very favorable conditions for trade and economic activity, for the organization of production processes, for business relocation. Russian companies and Russian entrepreneurs are increasingly turning their eyes in the direction of this country,» commented Andrey Terekhin, Russia’s Trade Representative in the Emirates.

According to RBC Ufa, the volume of Bashkiria’s foreign trade in 2025 is projected at $6.3 billion under the baseline scenario and $6.1 billion under the conservative one.
