During the meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the Russian Federation noted that relations between the two countries have reached an unprecedented level. On the same day, Putin visited Riyadh, where he met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
«I would like to thank you for such a colorful and sincere welcome,» Putin said at the beginning of the meeting with the UAE president. — Today, due to your position, our relations have reached an unprecedented level. And we are always in touch with you, as well as our colleagues regularly work with each other.»
«The United Arab Emirates is Russia’s main trading partner in the Arab world. Last year, commercial sales grew by 67.7%, and I think they will grow even more this year. The same applies to investment activities,» he said.
On the same day, the Russian delegation headed by Vladimir Putin arrived in Riyadh. During the conversation with Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Russian President stressed the stability of cooperation between the countries in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
«Over the past 7 years, relations have acquired these qualities and reached an unprecedented level,» Putin said, noting the special values of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
In turn, the head of the Saudi Council of Ministers stressed that Moscow and Riyadh have achieved a lot in recent years in bilateral relations, especially in such areas as energy, investments and agriculture.
