INCONA took part in the meeting of the Russian-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission, which was held in Abu Dhabi

On November 27, a meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation was held in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was chaired by Denis Manturov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE. During the event, representatives of government agencies and businesses of the UAE and Russia discussed prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

During his speech, Denis Manturov pointed to the preservation of the positive dynamics of Russian-Emirati cooperation. At the same time, there remains a significant potential for further development of bilateral trade and economic relations. In this regard, the main task is to increase the volume of mutual supplies, expand the range of products supplied and deepen partnership in the investment sphere.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the largest investment funds of the Emirates and expressed the interest of domestic companies in entering the Emirates market. The Minister spoke about the active efforts of representatives of the Russian business community in this direction. These efforts are expressed, in particular, in negotiations with business representatives in the UAE, as well as in participation in regional exhibitions and fairs.

Denis Manturov spoke about Russia’s interest in developing specific areas of cooperation, including joint development and production of high-tech products, mutual supplies of animal products, deepening partnership in the field of civil defense and emergency prevention, as well as tourism. In addition, the Minister announced that an agreement had been reached on the establishment of an intergovernmental working group on cooperation in the field of space.

The interests of INCONA were represented at the meeting by the company’s partner Olga Gavrilova. The participants of the meeting noted the successful work of INCONA, implemented as part of a public-private partnership to provide information, consulting and legal support to domestic businesses in the UAE market and to Emirati companies wishing to work in the Russian market. During the meeting, the company’s activities in organizing and supporting trade and exhibition and fair activities between the two countries were also noted. In addition, INCONA’s efforts contributing to the development of investment cooperation between the two countries received a positive assessment.

During the meeting, the signing of bilateral memoranda of understanding on the development of cooperation in the field of sports and intellectual property took place.
