On November 9-10, in Saint Petersburg, INCONA visited the V International Municipal BRICS+ Forum

On November 9-10, the BRICS+ International Municipal Forum was held in St. Petersburg.

About 7000 delegates from more than 70 countries of the world came to St. Petersburg to participate in the events of the Forum. Representatives of federal authorities, governors, mayors of large cities, experts and specialists of business and profile associations and companies took part in a rich business program consisting of more than 120 conferences, panel discussions and round tables.

On behalf of INCONA, the Head of the Registration Department Igor Popov visited the BRICS+ forum.

This year’s topic of the Forum was «At the junction of the past and the future: Global transformation». Within the framework of this topic, the participants discussed issues of socio-economic development of countries, looked for the ways to effectively exchange business and attract investment in projects. The main areas of discussion were the development of the information technology sector, cities, humanitarian cooperation, tourism, ecology and healthcare.

Special attention was paid to cooperation with the countries of the Middle East. It is known that from January 1, 2024 six new countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia will become full members of the BRICS. Thus, their accession to the BRICS opens a new chapter in the history of cooperation between the countries.

Within the framework of the Forum, an exhibition was also held, where various IT products, achievements of socio-economic, cultural, scientific and industrial development were presented.
